- CPU scheduling decisions may take place when a process:
- Switches from running to waiting state.
- Switches from running to ready state.
- Switches from waiting to ready.
- Terminates.
- Scheduling under 1 and 4 is nonpreemptive.
- All other scheduling is preemptive.
